Hi, my name is Marie! I'm a queer Guatemalan artist based in the Bay Area. I don't have any particular art style or art form (thanks adhd), so I just create whatever I'm in the mood to do.
It's important to me that my art is not restricted by what sells, what people want, but rather guided by my creativity and my creativity alone. While I want to make some extra income through my shop, my goal is not to feel pressured by capitalism and feel as though I'm losing my love for creating.
Above all, because of my politics, I also want to ensure my art serves a purpose and helps to support mutual aid efforts. So from every piece that sells, I intend to donate some of the proceeds to trusted organizations and crowdfunding.
